The floating tube rack is open style floating rack provides tubes with maximum contact with the water and better circulation of the water bath around the tubes, allowing superior temperature control of samples. Tubes are held tightly in rack to assure no “pop-up” tubes or “floaters”, while pressing the legs of the rack on the bench will raise tubes and allow for easy removal. Also, end handles allow easy transport and stacking. Bel-Art provides different types of floating rack for different usage in the laboratories.

Microcentrifuge Floating Rack

  • Incubate up to twenty-four 1.5ml microcentrifuge tubes in a water bath.
  • Easy to load
  • Microtubes are held snugly and then released when the rack is pressed down on a benchtop
  • Dimensions: 11.9 x 7.8cm (4¹¹/₁₆ x 3¹/₁₆")

Round Microcentrifuge Floating Rack

  • Tubes remain completely immersed in a beaker while tops rest above the rack
  • Molded of steam autoclavable polypropylene, these racks fit 400ml or 1000ml beakers.
  • Choose from 8 or 20 place racks with 10.8mm holes for 1.5ml microtubes.
  • Racks are 6.4mm (¹/₄") thick with 19mm (³/₄") long legs and a center handle
  • Perfectly Sized for Beakers

Round Microcentrifuge Floating Bubble Racks with Hold-down Disk

  • Hold-Down Disk Maintains Constant Pressure on Tube Caps
  • Specifically designed for incubating 1.5 ml microcentrifuge tubes, this rack includes a hold-down disk which maintains a constant pressure on the tube caps and prevents them from opening during internal air expansion.
  • The polypropylene disk with threaded handle screws into the foam-filled TPX® polymethylpentene plastic rack and holds tubes firmly in place
  • Rack floats while microcentrifuge tubes remain immersed at a constant depth
  • Leg length: 19mm (³/₄")
  • Steam autoclavable at 121ºC (250ºF)

PrepSafe™ Microcentrifuge Tube Mini Floating  Rack

  • Tabs Keep Tubes Secure
  • Unique tabs protect your samples from loss and contamination.
  • Place tubes in slots and slide under the tabs to keep tubes in place and caps closed when under pressure, floating or submerged.
  • For use in water baths, ice or on the benchtop.
  • Immobilizing tabs prevent tube tops from popping open during boiling
  • Holds up to twelve 1.5ml or 2.0ml microcentrifuge tubes in numbered locations
  • Raised handle for easy lifting; stable feet keep the rack upright on the bench
  • 95mm (3¾”) outer diameter fits most 1000ml beakers
  • Optional vortexing attachment; allows samples to be vortexed simultaneously
  • Polypropylene; steam autoclavable at 121°C (250°F)

Proculture Round Microcentrifuge Floating Bubble Racks

  • Made especially for use with beakers and waterbaths, these space-saving racks are ideal for small quantities of tubes and for use in cell culture laboratories
  • Incubate 8 to 20 Microtubes in 37°C Water Baths or Beakers
  • Perfect for incubating microtubes in a beaker of water
  • Buoyant TPX® brand polymethylpentene with tiny bubbles throughout for additional buoyancy
  • Withstands boiling for 30 minutes at 100°C (212°F)
  •  Steam autoclavable at 121°C (250°F)
